Panzer IV Ausf. F1 Vorpanzer & Schurzen BT-003 1/35 scale
The Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzKpfw IV), commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a German medium tank developed in the late 1930s and used extensively during the Second World War. Its ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 161.
Production on the Panzer IV F1 began in April 1941. Unlike the traditional armour of the Type E, the armour of the F was mounted directly on to the formt of the turret with 50 mm armour whilst the side armour was also increased to 30 mm. The modified vehicle weighed 22.3 tonnes. Track width was increased from 380 mm to 400mm to reduce the average pressure on the ground. The wider track also facilitated the installation of snowfield gear.
